: vegan meal of the week : week 14 : smoothie verstion! :

todays meal is a great on-the-go meal.
[you can have this for all three meals; goodness knows theres never a bad time to have a smoothie...]

mango and avocado smoothie!
original recipe from  this book // modifications by me
[makes 2-4 servings, depending on the size/meal]
[i use 1/2 pint glasses and do 4 servings!]

what you need : 
*1 avocado
*1 mango [trader joe's has great and affordable frozen mango chunks]
*small glug of lime juice
*2-3 tablespoons raw sugar
*2 cups of chocolate almond milk
*2 cups of plain almond milk

how to do it : 
1) peel avocado; chop into 'chunk'-sized pieces. peel and chop mango.
2) add mango and avocado to blender. add a small 'glug' of lime juice [if you use the lime juice lid, fill it a little less than half-full] add in raw sugar. add in milks.
3) turn the blender on and hold for 10-20 seconds. add more sugar, more milk[s] or lime juice, to taste.

this recipe is so simple, its almost confusing to write.
when i made this batch, i added way more chocolate milk than plain [because we are running low on white milk]. in the past, i have added two mangos and only one avocado; that makes it much sweeter. feel free to modify to fit your tastes!

[yes, it looks like paste. no, it doesnt taste like the glue we i ate in kindergarten.
