: i totally want to make that : week 29 : fabric elbow patches

happy wednesday!

did you know that i contribute over on revolutionize her?
its a site dedicated to women who are following their dreams.
the site is entirely run by women who are self-employed.
yesterday i posted about the importance of donating, and its probably one of my favorite posts ever.

annnnd did you see there are some *BRAND NEW* pieces in the shop?!
fashion headbands and hand-knit cuffs/bracelets.

today, i wanted to share a really fun, and easy clothing upcycle project.
elsie posted this tutorial on her blog a few weeks ago about how to take fabric scraps and turn them into elbow patches.

i have plenty of shirts with holes in them, so i thought i would give it a try ;)
this project took about 45 minutes, only because i am a super slow hand-stitcher.

you need a shirt [without or without holes], needle, thread and a few fabric scraps.
check out elsies tutorial for full instructions.

mine turned out super cute!

anything fun you are working on?
