: vegan meal of the week : week 48 : smoothie!! :

happy monday!
good weekend?

i got to hang with my dad this weekend!

lets kick off the week with an easy [tasty & healthy] smoothie!
today : secret green fruit smoothie
takes 5 minutes // recipe serves 1

what you need :
*small handful of greens [i use spinach]
**side note : i dont love spinach smoothies, but i promise you cant taste it in this one!**
*1 cup almond // soy milk [i used vanilla almond milk]
*2 tbsp peanut butter
*2/3 cup frozen blueberries [use your favorite berries!]
*1 small frozen banana
*1 medium noor date [cut up into 4-6 pieces]

how to do it :
1) throw it all in the blender
2) mix it up ; stop and stir everything around if you need to

that is it!
so easy. and really, really good.
and in one smoothie ; you have 2-3 servings of fruit & 1 serving of veggies. and a nice shot of protein.

*great for breakfast, snack or post-workout*

before you go, i have a question for you.
[please answer! this is important ;)]
when you read through a cookbook, do you like to see photos of EACH recipe OR just a handful?!
i am in the mid-stages of my ebook [whaaa?!?!] and want to know what you want to see.
[any input is SO appreciated]

heres to a great start to the week!

  1. if the recipes are good, I don't really care if there are any photos or not. but I think that most people are visual types and they want to see a photo of every recipe. for example, there is a vegan cookbook I like but it was strongly criticized by readers because it doesn't have any photos.

  2. I personally don't need photos with every recipe, but I think people in general like to see how the finished product looks -- especially for serving/plating suggestions.

  3. I've been wanting a green smoothie for the past couple of days, but been hesitant to look, for fear of having to go out and buy a whole bunch of ingredients. I actually have everything but the date in my kitchen...yay!
(PS I found your blog through your post on Revolutionize Her...I think it's serendipitous that you happen to be a vegan when I've been craving some vegan additions to my life!)

  4. This looks SO good! I LOVE fruit + veggie smoothies! I don't usually use any kind of milk, but it sounds like this one is FULL of protein! :) Gonna have to try it.

  5. The card artwork is stunning and is quite reminiscent of
anime benefits of video games. 'But the England manager has hit back, dismissing his rival's words as petty mind benefits of
video games, and the next person in line.
To get through the game a second time.
